Commemorative Brick Program
We are paving the way to better patient care, one brick at a time. Nestled between UF Health The Villages® Hospital and the Sharon Morse Medical Office Center is a serene garden open for patients, families, visitors and team members to take time out and reflect in a beautiful outdoor space. Not only does the garden provide a place for respite, but also an opportunity for you to recognize and celebrate someone's life.
UF Health The Villages® Hospital Auxiliary Foundation began its commemorative brick program in 2011. The four pathways surrounding the Sharon L. Morse Celebration Garden contain thousands of red bricks that can be engraved to celebrate a grandchild's birth, a marriage, an anniversary, as a memorial, special honor or dedication, as a Mother's or Father's Day gift - the reasons are endless. A special directory with a locator guide is in place in the garden so you can easily find your brick.
Here in The Villages®, we recognize that our pets are a part of our family. What better way to honor or remember a beloved pet than with the placement of a permanent brick along the special pet pathway that winds through the garden. It's a thoughtful way to remember our most treasured friends that will last for generations.
How to Participate
A gift of $100 (tax deductible) will reserve your brick for engraving and placement. All funds will be used to continue the mission of the hospital, helping to expand capacity and improve patient care. Bricks are installed a few times a year. Notification is send to donors and designated individuals when the bricks are placed.
